5 ways to make 2023 easier (and generate more cash)

What I’m doing to be fully booked in 2025

I want to address the dementor in the room.

Because I’m in the thick of the launch for Micro Messaging which means I’m having a whole bunch of sales conversations.

Not to mention I’m also chronically online so I see a lot of the same conversations being shared through content right now.

There’s a lot of uncertainty in the air. Conversations around economic instability, inflation and recession are everywhere. And then there’s the political climate in the US and an upcoming election here in Australia to add to the mix.

Some gurus will tell you not to think about it – but you’re human and it’s honestly not surprising you’re worried about everything that’s happening in the world. Especially when it comes to your business.

So what does it actually mean for you as a business owner?

As business owners, it can be tempting to hit pause. You might be wondering if it’s even worth continuing to market and sell right now. But I’m here to tell you – this is exactly the wrong time to go into hiding and wait it out.

And in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast I want to share with you exactly where I’m investing, how I’m showing up and what I’m doubling down on to be fully booked in 2025.

Because in my experience, it’s in these moments that businesses need to double down – not scale back.

So let’s dive in.

 fully booked in 2025

The Mistake That Leads to Empty Pipelines

It’s a tale as old as time – when uncertainty hits, many businesses stop investing in their marketing, thinking it’s “not essential.”

They buy into the “no one’s buying” rhetoric and pause their marketing and sales efforts.

Then, a few months later, they find themselves with no leads, no clients, and no revenue.

The Reality? Marketing Should Never Be Optional.

No matter what’s happening in the economy or political landscape, marketing is essential if you want to continue making money and be fully booked.

Yes, some businesses will bow out because they lack the risk tolerance to navigate uncertainty. They’ll blame the economy, the industry, or external factors rather than adapting.

And then there are business owners like YOU – the ones who see opportunity in adversity and understand that this is what makes true entrepreneurs.

Did you know that some of the world’s most successful companies were founded during recessions?

  • Disney was founded during the Great Depression.
  • Netflix launched in 1997 – right as the dot-com bubble was bursting.
  • Uber & Airbnb were both founded during the 2008 financial crisis.

The lesson? It’s not just about the economy—it’s about how you adapt, innovate, and position your business to stay fully booked.

The Hidden Opportunity During Economic Uncertainty

Recessions don’t just bring cutbacks and layoffs. They also create opportunities for growth.

During uncertain times, the market shifts and consumer behaviors evolve – and the businesses that can pivot and differentiate themselves will thrive.

The question is: Are you ready to do what it takes to thrive and be fully booked in 2025?

Here’s exactly what I’m focusing on in my business to ensure I stay fully booked in 2025.

Where I’m Investing in 2025

1. Coaching – The Investment That Pays Off Over Time

One thing I’ll always invest in? Coaching.

I’ve worked with the same business coach for over six years, and I have no plans to change that.

Long-term coaching has been one of the most valuable investments I’ve made in my business. Why?

  • My coach knows me, my business, and my challenges inside and out.
  • They provide strategic guidance and accountability that keeps me moving forward.
  • They help me navigate uncertainty and refine my messaging and marketing to stay fully booked

I wouldn’t have survived 2024 without my coach, and I certainly wouldn’t have bounced back after losing all my clients overnight in 2020 due to COVID.

Mindset has always been my biggest challenge, and having a coach helps me push through those mental blocks and keep growing.

If you’re serious about long-term business success, investing in mentorship is non-negotiable.

What I’m Doubling Down On in 2025

2. Messaging – The Key to Consistent Sales (Even in Uncertain Times)

Obviously, I’m doubling down on messaging – I mean, I’d be crazy not to, right?

Here’s why:

The market is never static. Consumer behavior shifts, your audience evolves, and what worked last year won’t necessarily work next year.

Your messaging needs to evolve with it.

Right now, businesses that position themselves as THE solution to their audience’s evolving needs will win. The economy might tighten, but that means consumers are more selective—your messaging needs to make it crystal clear why your offer is exactly what they need.

How I’m Showing Up in 2025

3. Staying Visible & Building Trust

If you’re wondering whether you should pull back on your marketing right now, let me be clear: visibility and trust-building are more important than ever.

Consumers today are more skeptical than ever before.

Between AI-generated content, shady marketing tactics, and past bad experiences, people are cautious about where they invest their time and money.

Here’s the thing: people buy from brands they trust.

And trust isn’t built by disappearing when things get tough.

Trust is built through consistent messaging, showing up, and fostering real relationships.

Why Showing Up Matters More Than Ever

This is NOT the time to pull back on marketing or go quiet on social media.

  • Now is the time to engage in conversations and truly listen to what your audience needs.
  • Now is the time to double down on creating valuable content that builds authority and connection.
  • Now is the time to stand out as a leader in your industry while others retreat.

If you show up consistently with the right message, you will stand out more than ever.

The Choice Is Yours

You have two choices right now:

  1. Retreat and wait it out, hoping things will get better.
  2. Take action, adapt, and set yourself up for long-term success.

The business owners I work with aren’t slowing down—they’re doubling down. They’re refining their messaging, staying visible, and ensuring they come out stronger than ever.

There will be businesses that close their doors in 2025. I don’t want you to be one of them.

So, what are you going to invest in, double down on, and show up for to ensure you’re fully booked next year?
