Holy flying dementors!

Can you believe that in just over a month we’ll be waving bye bye bye to 2022 and welcoming in 2023 – that’s wild right?!

I swear to dog we were welcoming in 2022 like 5 minutes ago!

And I don’t know about you, but I’ve already started thinking about and planning what 2023 will look like for myself, Ned and the business. 

Because what I know to be true, is that you can set yourself up for success (with less overwhelm and stress) when you have a rock-solid plan of attack.

If you spend a little bit of time planning what 2023 looks like for you + your business NOW, you can really switch off over the Christmas / New Year period and rest and recharge…

Knowing that, come the start of 2023, you can dive straight into creating magic in your business without feeling like you’re already behind.

So, to help you start planning ahead for 2023, in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast I’m going to share 5 ways to make 2023 easier (and generate more cash).

Because I’m 100% for making life + business as easy as fucking possible and I’m happily calling in more abundance than ever before in 2023.

This is the potent and powerful planning process that I go through every year around this time – so I hope it’s helpful, and let’s begin.

5 ways to make 2023 easier (and generate more cash)

Step 1: Reflect on this year

To truly make a plan for next year, you gotta reflect on this year first. 

And, even if 2022 hasn’t been your best year ever – DON’T SKIP THIS STEP!

Trust me – you’ll be grateful you did, and I bet you’ll actually be surprised at everything you’ve achieved and created this year.

So here are some questions to answer and reflect on:

  • Which parts of your business light you the fuck up?
  • Which parts of your business feel a little out of alignment?
  • What are you most PROUD of this year?
  • What do you desire more of in 2023?
  • What do you desire less of in 2023?
  • What’s been your biggest LESSON in 2022?
  • How do you feel about everything that’s occurred this year?

Step 2: Determine your goals for 2023

Your 2022 reflections will help you determine your goals for 2023. 

My “Feel Good Business Strategy” was born out of my end-of-year reflections a couple of years ago and it’s since become my business motto.

This ALSO helps you choose your word of the year – my word for 2022 was EXPANSION and it definitely lived up to that – but I’ll share more about that in my 2022 in Review episode so stay tuned.  

I also encourage you to pick a $$ revenue goal, because again this helps the next step of the planning process. 

Step 3: Build your offer suite for 2023

So now you have a revenue goal in mind for 2023 – it’s time to look at your offer suite.

What offers do you currently have in your business and with those offers – what will it take for you to reach your goals?

This will help you identify any gaps or potential new creations. 

2023 might be the year you diversify your income streams and add some new offers and ways of generating cash into the mix.

Now, this doesn’t mean creating new offers for the sake of it – remember that anything you create in your business (offers included) needs to be something that your ideal clients or customers need and are willing to pay for.

This is also a reminder to look at your current pricing. 

Is it time for you to increase those prices?  

If it IS time for a price increase in 2023 – why not tell your community about it now and give them the incentive to buy from you before the price increase comes into effect? 

Step 4: Map out your 2023 launch plan 

I 1000% recommend having an idea of when you will launch or relaunch your offers throughout the year. 

The key to making life + business easier is to plan ahead.

So looking at the year ahead and mapping out: 

  • Your Holidays / Time off / Launches
  • How many times do you want to launch? (And what offers will you launch?)
  • What is your capacity?
  • Will you run any sales / special offers?

Of course, you won’t know ALL of the specific details and yes, things might change BUT it’s better than flying blind and forever feeling like you’re making shit up!

Mapping out your 2023 launch plan helps you forecast when money is coming in, what content to create, and ultimately be really intentional with what you’re creating and promoting in your business – which is one of my FAVE things about launching. 

Step 5: Create a wish list of business investments

Just like you create a Christmas wish list – start compiling a list of the courses, masterminds or business coaches that you want to invest in during 2023.

Heck even add the things you want to outsource in your business. 

If you don’t have anything specific in mind, start to think about the areas in your business you want to learn more about or call in more support and start your list. 

It’s funny that when you start to think about this, the universe will present you with what you need – so keep an eye out.

Right now is a great time to be shopping with 2023 in mind because of the Black Friday Sales and because many businesses will be putting up their prices in 2023, so this is why it literally pays to think about this now and not wait until 2023 is here or you’re “ready”.
