I’ll be sharing how to win clients online and specifically 5 things myself and my clients do to call in those magical soulmate clients.
Now #spoileralert all of these relate back to content – but never fear, I’m going to break it down and give you examples so you can get an idea of what that would look like in your business.
Building out your community
Because without a community (aka followers, email subscribers, podcast listeners, video watchers) you’ll struggle to win clients online.
You need a community and you need to continually build it and fill it with leads. This is your sales pipeline, funnel, process – whatever you want to call it.
Now of course having a bigger community, means more potential leads but remember that QUALITY OVER QUANTITY every day of the week.
You don’t have to be filling your funnel with thousands of new leads every week, but you do need to be attracting quality leads. People that are a match for your dream clients.
Some of the ways my clients are building their communities right now are:
- Creating and sharing new downloadable freebies
- Running free challenges or masterclasses
- Pitching to be a guest on podcasts
- Instagram lives and collaborations with other business owners who have similar audiences
Sharing consistent content
Oops here’s me again uttering the C-word – consistency.
But let me be real with you – you won’t be able to grow your community without consistent content.
The online space moves very fast and you have to be in the game to be considered an option. And if you’re not in the game you won’t win clients online.
Now of course you don’t have to show up and share content every single day or post something for the sake of it just so you tick a box on your to-do list.
But you still need to create content and it’s about finding what works for YOU!
And this is why you need to be clear on your content creation foundations. Those essential foundations that hold everything together

Embracing your authentic voice
Want to know why your content is boring and not standing out for your clients online?
It’s because you’re trying to be like someone else. You look at what every other Harry, Ron & Hermione on the internet is doing and you try to do that too.
And while yes they’re are different strategies for winning clients online – one of the most powerful things that you can do – is to be your-fucking-self.
To embrace your authentic voice. To not delete all traces of your personality from your content.
Look I get it – it’s scary and you’re afraid of looking silly or being judged…
But when I started my business I tried so hard to fit myself into that neat little fit-for-Instagram box and two things happened:
- My content was boring AF and sounded nothing like me (but everything like every other person creating content) and
- I ended up hating creating content – and when you hate creating content – people can tell. You give off that energy and that doesn’t help you magnetise those dream clients
But once I said “no more vanilla content” and embraced how wonderfully magic and unique I am…
And the power of sharing this magic with others through my content, my inner wizard was revealed and all the pieces fell into place….
And to translate that for the muggles – I found my people – the people who send me dog memes and appreciate my never-ending Harry Potter references…
And that want to work with ME. They want to pay me to teach them how to create magical content, booked up launches and wildly abundant offers.
Because the difference between your content and everyone else’s content…is YOU.
Your community is out there looking for you – but how will they find you if you conceal your magic under your invisibility cloak?
So for my clients this looks like:
- Being a leader not a follower – sharing their thoughts and opinions on topics related to their industry
- Hitting publish on that post or email that feels scary or stretchy but at the same time exciting and exhilarating
- Launching that new offer that’s been hot on their heart
- Being clear and asking for the sale
- Not apologising for who they are and what they want
And to say YES to showing up in their full expression. Because that’s what magnetises clients into your life and business.
Ok now we move on to…
Sharing sales generating content – consistently
Now in the Client Converting Challenge I recently ran, I shared 3 types of sales generating content.
Connection Building Content
Content that builds a connection between you and your community. A connection that is crucial if you want people to invest in you and your offers.
Value Packed Content
I’m sure you’ve heard it all before – your content needs to add value.
What does that even mean?
It means that the information you’re sharing should be valuable for your community. Something that helps them, that teaches them something new, that makes their life easier.
Trust Building Content
Trust is a key ingredient in the customer journey and without it, it’ll be hard for you to convert your content into clients.
Trust in YOU is what leads to those conversions.
Your content helps them get to know you. The more they get to know you…the more they’ll trust you…and the faster they’ll be ready to buy from you.
And to get them to the point of trusting you – your content needs to highlight why YOU are the person to help them.
So the way to win clients online is to create the kinda content that generates sales.
And to do it consistently.
Myself and my clients are sharing these 3 types of sales generating content again and again and again and again.
And without these elements, that being connection, value and trust, you’ll struggle to win clients online.
So take a look at how you’re creating connection, adding value and building trust within your community and how you can do more of it – spoiler alert it’s got a lot to do with your content.
And onto the final way my clients win clients online is…
The fortune is in the follow up
Look it’d be nice if you put your offer out into the world, sat back and drank margaritas and watched the millions roll in…
But the reality is that it’ll take a little more than one wave of your magic wand to win clients online.
And the magic is in the follow up.
You’ll often have many different conversations with potential clients going on at any one time and it pays to keep track of those conversations and follow up with them.
Like it literally pays you to follow up with them.
It’s easy to take a no response as a no – but what I know to be true is that life happens, people get distracted, or they’re simply taking their time to make their decision.
But don’t assume they’re not interested just because they haven’t purchased the second they follow you or the moment you’ve launched your offer.
Of course DON’T harass them but make sure you’re closing the loop on the conversations.
I always coach my clients to follow up with their leads (especially during a launch) and that’s a big reason why they’ve been able to convert those conversations into clients.
So don’t leave money on the table.
Keep track of the conversations you’re having, how many times you’ve followed up, what their response was. A simple Google Sheet will work or set up a leads tracker in Asana or something similar.
And don’t forget that the real gold is also found inside these conversations you’re having with your community. They can give you an insight into what your people are feeling, what’s happening in their life and business and their objections to make those purchase decisions.
All super valuable intel that you can use to create magical content that speaks to their soul and eventually helps you to convert them into clients.
